Support from former presiding officers - Courier

The Courier article tells how, following the re-opening of the Borders line, Lord Steel, who backed the campaign in its first year, sent ‘renewed greetings’ to StARLink. He was followed by Sir George Reid who said,
‘The restoration of rail services to Alloa, in my former constituency, has resulted in passenger usage far in excess of the original estimates. It would be so pleasant to return again to the old grey town by train, as I did countless times when I was an undergraduate at the university there.’
Thank you, gentlemen; these messages are much appreciated.
