Earlier this year, the Financial Times covered the controversial issue of whether Turnberry should be re-admitted to the Open Championship circuit, which it last hosted in 2009. One of the obstacles is the Ayrshire venue's poor transport links which were described as making Turnberry 'hell to get to.'
