A very interesting talk on the history of the railways of North East Fife ended on an optimistic note for a new St Andrews railway.
Long-time railwayman Neale Elder concluded his excellent address to the St Andrews Preservation Trust about the North East Fife railways with the message: 'Will StARLink achieve success achieve success in time for its fortieth anniversary in 2029? Let's hope so.'
Coming from somebody so steeped in the railways this is most encouraging.
We hope so too!
