The Courier and the St Andrews Citizen both published a preview of the 50th anniversary celebrations.
Both papers mentioned the 2 gatherings to take place the same day, in the morning and at night. Unfortunately the Courier repeated the erroneous claim that St Andrews was a Beeching cut; it was not.
