National newspaper calls for better connection to St Andrews

The editorial describes internal public transport links as 'increasingly frustrating for business and for commuters' as well as bad for the environment and asks why everything seems to be concentrated on the Central Belt.

'It is, frankly, a disgrace that every major town is not linked by an efficient rail network ... towns such as Melrose in the east, Lockerbie in the west and St Andrews in the north should all be easy commutes away.'
