The Saint, the independent University of St Andrews student newspaper, provided an update on the campaign.

It should be noted, though, that although St Andrews was one of the rail cuts between 1964 and 1972, it was never on Dr Beeching's list so strictly speaking should not be described as a Beeching cut.
