Business editor says case 'indisputable'

Courier business editor Graham Huband says that cutting a rail link ‘is always a retrograde step’ and goes on to describe the fact that rail-borne golf fans have to wait for a bus at Leuchars to take them to St Andrews as ‘bizarre.’ ‘To my mind,’ he writes, ‘its [St Andrews’] case for a railway station is indisputable.’ He goes on to say that, ‘a direct link would immediately improve the visitor experience’ and even opines that,‘the cost of re-establishment would be recovered in relatively short order.’

Well said, Mr Huband.
