The letter in the Courier also notes that, while the Scottish Government considers Levenmouth is ‘a project of local and regional importance’ and as such is not a priority, St Andrews is ‘a project of evident national importance and as such is a far likelier prospect for implementation in the immediate future.’

In conclusion, StARLink observes that it is a pity that Fife Council did not consider taking both Levenmouth and St Andrews proposals together, but finishes by hoping that both lines will be reinstated in the near future.
