StARLink’s visit to the Scottish Parliament was splashed across the front page of the St Andrews Citizen.
StARLink secretary Dita Stanis-Traken said, ‘It was very heartening to be able to visit Holyrood and update MSPs on the work being carried out to demonstrate the need for a rail link to our town. All present were encouraged by the STAG work being undertaken and eagerly await the ‘Case for Change’, work on which is now drawing to a conclusion and publication of which is expected shortly.’
Mark Ruskell MSP, who organised the meeting, added, ‘After such a long community campaign, it’s fantastic to see the formal work progressing that could make a St Andrews Rail Link a reality. The funding from the Local Rail Development Fund has had a really positive impact in communities across Fife looking to get their towns back on the network, and I look forward to reading the final ‘Case for Change’ report soon.’
