The newly-published Fife Council Local Transport Strategy includes support for 'new rail
links and stations in Fife.'
Objective 5 in the strategy reads:
[We will] with partners, reduce public transport journey times between St Andrews
and Scotland’s major towns and cities by 2033.
And Action 30 states:
[We will] support partners to deliver the St Andrews Transport Study,
which proposes reopening the St Andrews Rail Link.
In fact the St Andrews Transport Study, carried out using the STAG protocol, has been completed but is still languishing in Transport Scotland's in-tray.
