Fife Council rail report delayed

It is not clear why the report has been delayed. However, one advantage of the delay could be the opportunity to use the latest census information, expected sometime this month, as background information.
At its forthcoming meeting on Tuesday 1st October TayPlan, the strategic planning authority, will still be considering a report on the ‘Big Ideas’ submitted earlier this year, of which the St Andrews railway was one. However as it is entitled ‘Pre Main Issues report’ it may be that any decision on whether to include the railway in the plan will depend upon the ‘Main Issues report’ itself, whenever that may appear.
