'What about the East?' asks Scotsman correspondent

In today’s Scotsman, Colin C. MacLean of Edinburgh writes,
‘It is indeed good news that Glasgow is to get yet another new station, this time at Robroyston on the Stepps line.
But why is it always in the West? Do the communities of Winchburgh, Methil and St Andrews count for nothing in the very road-dominated spend of Transport Scotland?
The re-opening of Laurencekirk station clearly shows that reopenings can be successful outwith the Central Belt even with a rather spasmodic service.’
Absolutely right. Thank you, Mr MacLean.
