The St Andrews Citizen reported on the failure of the funding application but contrary to its assertion there is no question of the study being postponed.
In fact the STAG evaluation is under way even now, with the first reports expected in April.
In its coverage Labour Cllr Brian Thomson claims that the route suggested is ‘pie in the sky’; however he should know that the route to which he refers is indicative only and in any case, there is no preferred or even suggested route in these early stages of the appraisal.
